The Paducah Area Transit System begins its new fixed bus routes later this week, and is offering free rides on all its fixed route buses 4 days this week.
Wednesday, April 30th is our regular monthly day for free rides on the fixed routes (the last weekday of each month).
Thursday, May 1st, PATS’ new fixed routes will begin, with double the number of buses on the routes, and “wait times” reduced to 30 minutes or less except for a one hour window late mornings. PATS is allowing passengers to ride the new routes at no charge Thursday, May 1st through Saturday, May 3rd, as a way to familiarize themselves with the new routes. The new routes will run from 5 AM to 6:30 PM Monday-Friday, and 9 AM to 6:30 PM on Saturdays. PATS personnel will be aboard buses to answer questions Thursday and Friday, and office staff will be on hand at 850 Harrison to answer questions about the new routes.
New schedules and maps are available at the PATS bus station at 850 Harrison Street in Paducah, and also online at http://www.paducahtransit.com/
